Domaine Durrmann

Starting initially with a tiny piece of land, the Durrmann family have gradually accumulated about seven hectares of vines spread around Andlau, a beautiful village tucked under the Vosges mountains south-west of Strasbourg. Over the years they have turned their lack of family-based wine making tradition into an absolute strength, providing a blank canvas for innovation, so much so that they are now seen as pioneers within the natural wine community. The scattering of parcels around Andlau has given them a diverse set of terroirs to play with. André converted to organic farming in 1988 and since 2007 son, Yann, stopped using sulphur in most of their wines.
