This is winemaker Marco Bertoni’s fresh and bright Lambrusco Grasparossa from biodynamically cultivated grapes grown on the Farneto plateau in the Emilia-Romagna heartland. A rustic yet bright and refreshing sparkler with aromas of ripe summer berries and hay, leading to a palate of more crunchy red fruit, watermelon and light, airy bubbles that screams “Summer in a bottle!”. The grapes were hand-harvested followed by a short maceration and initial fermentation in concrete tanks. For the second fermentation, Marco added juice from the same harvest and let the wine finish fermentation on lees without fining or filtration.
