A lifted and deliciously savoury blend of Sauvignon Blanc and a little Ugni Blanc (Trebbiano) from a Loire favourite here at Oranj, Laurent Saillard! After losing most of his fruit to hail and frost in 2021, Laurent turned to a neighbouring vineyard undergoing organic conversion and this initiative has yielded perhaps one of Laurent’s most memorable white wines to date! Classic Sauvignon aromas of fresh-cut grass and honeydew melon leads to a smooth and bright palate with notes of key lime, jalapeño, pastry crust accented by delicatly saline and mineral undertones. The grapes were hand-picked, pressed and vinified separately in tank and bottled unfined and unfiltered with little to no added sulphur. An excellent pairing alongside baked halibut, or green veggies from the grill!
