This old vine Sylvaner from Domaine Rietsch showcases what is so special about the varietal when in the right hands! Intensely fresh and mineral with a touch of tangerine peel on the palate, all without compensating on depth and complexity. Farmed organically on parcels of clay-limestone including Grand Cru Zotzenberg-Mittelbergheim, the only Grand Cru-classified vineyard of Sylvaner in the Alsace. Pressed directly and aged on the lees in barrels for 31 months before bottling without added sulphur.
