A regal and well composed natural blend of Syrah/Grenache grown on schist from winemaker Alexandre Durand in Faugeres, Languedoc. Deep yet supple in texture, with smooth tannins and lifted aromas of dark plum, polished leather, sweet spice and undergrowth. The grapes were de-stemmed before a 3 months long maceration and 10 months ageing in fibreglass tanks. An enchanting wine from one of France’s most talked-about regions of late and a great introduction to Alexandre’s style of winemaking.
