Tart and incredibly juicy Gamay grown on limestone from Bugey vigneron, Louis Terral, with beguiling aromas of dark plum, damson, crushed pepper and forest floor. A deep, full and direct expression of the grape with fine acidity and smooth tannins. The fruit came from 20yo vines, underwent 2 weeks of whole bunch maceration before maturing in stainless steel and bottling in the following Spring with no additions. A proper “Sunday red”, best served decanted and slightly chilled, accompanied by roast chicken and seasonal veggies.
