Full-bodied but lively Chenin produced from vines adjacent to the esteemed Les Noels De Montbenault plot from Richard Leroy. The forty-year-old vines grow on a schist terroir, and after whole bunches are directly-pressed, the juice is aged on its lees in barrel, before bottling without filtration, fining, and only minimal levels of sulphur added. Generous and richly textured, but with stunning acidity, this is drinking well now, but will only get better with cellar time.
