At Oranj, we’re drawn to Antony Tortul’s wines when we want to go on an adventure (which is quite a lot of the time tbh). This wine is no different, however it remarkably retains an incredible freshness even though the grapes were grown during an abnormally hot summer. Against the odds this is a very balanced wine, expect lots of citric and saline notes. The 30yr old Mauzac vines are quartzite puddingstone soils Castelreng in Haute Limoux. Aged on for 8 months on the lees in steel. It’s buzzing with energy.
