Smells like peaches, and tastes like apricots, that were picked just before reaching full maturity. It’s savoury, certainly zippy, and deliciously bitter from that two week whole bunch skin contact, totally refreshing. Intensely aromatic but also very light and unlike most of Jean-Yves wines.
Would definitely drink this on it’s own, but if pairing with something to eat it would go so well with seafood, or otherwise with spiced south-east asian inspired cuisines.
Organically grown grapes from JY’s Italian neighbours over on the Italian side of the Alps in Piemonte, grown by Paulo Angelino and Giorgio Barbero. This wine not only bottles some impeccably grown grapes, but also some of natural wines greatest minds, utterly delicious.
