Jakob farms Riesling on one of Mosel's most
treacherously steep plots, with some of the oldest vines still alive in Northern Europe, due to a disease that killed off many vines during a mid 20th century agricultural disease. His wines bear the fruit of rebirth and renewal of v
ines that were untouched due to how difficult they are to access. They are what we want in our glass right now. A chef once upon a time, this man has turned his nuanced pallet to winemaking. This being only his second vintage, this wine shows a level of complexity and depth you'd only find in some of the best vineyards in the world, vines that have fort to be with us today. Possibly, the most interesting we've ever tasted.
