Intoxicatingly perfumed Carignan grown on schist from the hills of the Haute-Corbieres and in the hands of winemaking couple Céline & Alexandre Peyre. Rustic yet elegant, this wine offers bags of charm and character with a fresh raspberries, dustings of dried herbs and savoury, meaty undertones which few other varieties possess. Highly drinkable with smooth tannins and fine acidity to boot. Farmed biodynamically, the grapes undergo a short, cold maceration, 25 days of carbonic maceration in tank and 9 months of élévage in old barrels. Bottled unfined, unfiltered and with little to no added sulphur.
