Unfuzzy and oh-so-drinkable blend of Syrah and Grenache from winemaker David Theyssier, based in the Gard district of Côte-du-Rhone. Dense and dark-fruited aromas of candied berries and garrigue, leading to a bright and supple textured palate thanks to its lush tannins and and lifted acidity. Grown organic on 23yo vines on a mix of loam and sand, the grapes were hand-harvested and macerated in whole-bunches for 7 days before pressing and ageing in stainless steel tank for 7 months. Bottled unfined, unfiltered and without added sulphur. This is the kind of Summer red that screams for lamb chops off the grill with feta and pomegranate!
