A little more powerful than usual due to the warm vintage, but still racy and vibrant, as you expect from Cossard’s white wines. It’s produced with Chardonnay from vines planted high on the steep slopes of Saint-Romain, where you find a high percentage of limestone, with vinification now taking place in a mixture of concrete eggs, earthenware jars and Georgian qvevris, and the wine given a long élevage, before bottling without filtration, finding or added SO2. Full-bodied, perfumed, and stony, this will develop wonderfully in the bottle.
