A classic cuvee from Strohmeier, this sophisticated rose is a far cry from its very pale counterpart smashed along the Seine all summer. Produced from Blauer Wildbacher a lesser-known Styrian varietal, this rose wine has just three hours skin contact before gentle pressing, followed by spontaneous fermentation and a year’s maturation in old 500-liter oak and acacia barrels. The wine has as many layers as a Dovetesvy novel, and should be drunk at red wine temperature to be appreciated.
