Lively, crunchy, and juicy Pinot. The 50-year-old vines are located in Tuniberg in Germany, and they grow on loess and limestone soils, with the grapes undergoing whole cluster semi-carbonic maceration in wooden and stainless steel vats, followed by malolactic fermentation in tanks, ageing for 10 months in 228L and 350L barrels, with bottling without filtration and fining and miniscule levels of sulphur added, if at all. With 2022 a bit warmer than 2021, there’s sweeter red fruits like strawberries and red cherries to join the tart berries.
