Chardonnay from Altenburger’s best vineyard for the grape, this wine offers real terroir definition. The grapes are planted on mica schist and limestone loam soils, with spontaneous fermentation and 16 months ageing in oak barrels and concrete eggs. Lots of ripe peach and lime on the nose, with the slightly buttery palate also offering a thread of fine minerality and a long finish.
