Red Burgundy with stunning purity and length. It’s produced from Pinot Noir grapes grown on a plateau above Beaune and the vines were planted in the 1980s, with the grapes undergoing whole cluster semi-carbonic maceration in wooden and stainless steel vats,  followed by malolactic fermentation in tanks and ageing for 18 months in 228L and 350L barrels, and bottling without filtration and fining, with miniscule levels of sulphur added, if at all. Fresh and vibrant acidity with an underlying thread of minerality, but unlike the 2021, there’s lots of ripe dark fruit, calling for slightly richer dishes.
