Fruit-forward red Burgundy with generous fruit and lots of energy. The grapes are from two plots – with the vines from Mâconnais planted in the 1970s, and those from Ladoix a mixture of 30 and 70 years old – and they undergo whole cluster semi-carbonic maceration in wooden and stainless steel vats, followed by malolactic fermentation in tanks, ageing for 18 months in 228L and 350L barrels, and bottling without filtration and fining and miniscule levels of sulphur added, if at all. Not your average Bourgogne Rouge.
