Buttery and fruity but complex. The Chardonnay grapes were planted in the 1970s and are grown on declassified Mâcon Villages on limestone bedrock, with fermentation taking place in used 228L and 600L barrels, ageing for 18 months in the same barrels, before assembling in stainless steel tanks for 2 weeks, and bottling without filtration and fining, with minuscule levels of sulphur added, if at all. Very impressive structure for a Bourgogne Blanc.
