Misturas, 2020 - Constantina Sotelo
I like lots of Constantina Sotelo’s wines. She works mostly with Albarino using many different approaches in the winery and not bending to the will of the conservative, male dominated DO. This is a direct press and spends some time on its lees, which rounds it out a touch. It's explosive and cleansing but balanced.
Altissima, 2020 - Domaine Mont de Marie
Sophisticated light red alert. From Thierry’s 60 year old Grenache, short 4 day maceration. A blend of run off and pressed juice. Holds up very well with dinner.
Neck Plus Ultra, 2019 - Sylvain Bock
Upbeat, but serious. Fruity, but dry. Think Dr. Pepper - bright and murky all at the same time. With notable mouth feel, this is a great bottle to surprise and impress your table with.
